Project accomplished by Rialto personnel under previous employment.

Rialto Studio principals provided site design for the 50,000 square foot headquarters and training center for the National Football League Dallas Cowboys at Valley Ranch, Texas. The building was designed to house three distinct functions; an administrative headquarters, public access (travel agency, dance studio/cheerleaders, team store), and the player training facility. The landscape architects devised a plan that provided appropriate public and private vehicular access to the site to manage access.

A preponderance of the site is devoted to player training. Here Rialto Studio principals designed three practice football fields, each with a distinct function. The primary field was constructed to mimic the contour of the field in Texas Stadium where the Cowboys compete. The second was constructed flat with an under-drain system to mimic other team’s fields. And the third was designed with synthetic turf. Other player training elements included specially designed running courses for endurance training and power running training, a work-out course containing apparatus for muscle building, and a complete weight training patio that can function as on open air or enclosed/conditioned facility.
