Project Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort Project Location San Antonio, Texas Project Images
Project accomplished by Rialto personnel under previous employment. |
Located on the edge of the famed Texas "Hill Country," this premier destination resort is designed to reflect the history and heritage of early Texas settlers who immigrated to this area. The resort includes a 500-room hotel with convention, conference, and dining facilities, designed by Hill Architects of San Francisco. The hotel is nestled inside an 18-hole golf course by Arthur Hills and Associates. All exterior features and amenities were designed and coordinated by the landscape architectural team. From the entry roadways to the swimming pools at the core of the development, the landscape architects were guided by the visual stimulus provided by the 200-acre site, characterized by rugged, lushly vegetated terrain. Site development elements included entries, roadways, and parking for 900 cars; Town Square motor court; the Ballroom Courtyard with it’s massive wood deck; The Lawn Formal activity area; three swimming pools; the Lazy River tubing water feature; guestroom courtyards; and the interface and signage package for the Golf Course. The site development also features the extensive use of native plant species to ease demands on watering and maintenance capabilities. |
