PRE-K 4 SA SOUTH EDUCATION CENTER

SAN ANTONIO, TX

The design of the new Pre-K 4SA South Education Center is to serve as a national model of high-
quality early learning through 4 exemplary guiding principles: culture, nature, inclusion, and
exploration. Rialto was responsible for designing an innovative outdoor learning environment for
students, faculty, and staff. The spaces were designed to promote gross development, inclusive
and engaging learning, and dramatic play among students. Climbable mounds, kitchens, a trike
track, an 'ABC' learning fence, a garden and performance stage, and a fairy garden reading nook
are just a few of the many different natural elements in the courtyard spaces. The project welcomed students up to 5 years old in 2025.
