MARKET SQUARE

In rehabilitating San Antonio’s historic Market Square, Rialto Studio redesigned the streetscape for pedestrian and emergency accessibility and long-term durability. A smooth surface of regional clay pavers spreads beneath mature oaks, and low masonry walls provide bench seating and utility access for vendors. Newer elms and palms were added, as was atmospheric tree lighting for nighttime enjoyment.
