In the heart of the San Antonio Medical Center, this modern midrise apartment complex is designed to appeal to young professionals. The triangular site left the amenity area flanked by busy roadways, so masonry walls and lush planting help screen the traffic and sound from view. A cabana offers shade, music, and an outdoor TV that can be viewed by users from inside and outside of the pool. The building’s central courtyard offers multiple seating areas, contemporary shade structures, comfortable lighting for nighttime, an artificial turf lawn, and lush planting, all above the parking garage. A dog park within the complex offers space for the four-legged residents to exercise. Rialto Studio provided tree preservation, design, and detailing of the vast majority of the outdoor areas of the project, including landscape lighting, planting, and irrigation.
