BROWNIE NEIGHBORHOOD PARK

Brownie Neighborhood Park is an undeveloped 8-acre neighborhood park in an extremely parkland-deficient North Austin neighborhood. Rialto Studio is leading an effort to develop the park including a parking lot, loop trail, playground, lawn space, soccer field, picnic pavilion, basketball court, rain gardens, and solar lighting. Rialto Studio’s scope also includes multiple public outreach meetings and pop-up meetings.

The project is seeking SITES Certification for green construction practices, which include material reuse, low-impact development, soil and vegetation protection and restoration, and solar lighting. The project is currently under construction with anticipated completion in Summer of 2024.
