HEMISFAIR CIVIC PARK

After providing advising on plant and tree selections, soil improvement and irrigation design, Phase 1 of Civic Park at Hemisfair opened in late September 2023. Rialto helped turn a 5-acre empty lot into a sustainable, public green space. This involved careful tree planting and preparation, a high-performance lawn designed by JBC and the planting of a public garden, designed by GGN with structured hedge frames and loose contents.
Opened in conjunction with the Jazz’SAlive festival, Civic Park has already hosted several other events, including Dia de Los Muertos, Diwali SA and the Luminaria Contemporary Arts Festival.
