FROST PLAZA AT THE
ROCK AT LA CANTERA

The Frost Plaza at The Rock at La Cantera opened late 2023. Rialto Studio helped design this Plaza as an outdoor community gathering space for outdoor events and activities in San Antonio.

We designed artificial turf areas as well as concrete and decomposed granite pedestrian walkways. Another material that ties the plaza to the Spurs Practice Facility is the concrete pavers extending from the facility. We seamlessly coordinated lighting and audio locations to the digital display. The area underneath the digital display serves as a space in which a stage may be set up for different small- and large-scale events.

Some other coordination items Rialto was involved with are the signage throughout the plaza and the interactive basketball hoop tree. The pedestrian spaces and experience correspond with the vendor kiosks and the splash pad, which we also designed.
